TOURNAMENT INFORMATION



DATE-     Saturday, February 25, 2012

WHERE- SAME LOCATION- Duluth High School, (BIG GYM)

                3737 Brock Rd, Duluth, GA. 30096,



ENTRY FEE-   $35, If pre-registered by February 18, 2012

                         $45, Late registration after 2/18/12 and the day

                                 of the tournament.

                         $20, First Timers- Children 8 & under.  Demonstrate

                                 Karate Basics or Kata with their coach (if needed).

                         $  3 From each entry fee goes to the GKL awards fund.



FEE COVERS 1-3 EVENTS.  NO CHECKS AFTER 2/18/12 OR

ON THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT.

      Spectators-       $3.00 Adults,    $1.00 Children, (under 6 free).



      Start Time-  9:00-11:00am, Doors Open



NEW FOR 2012!!!!  GKL 2011 AWARDS PRESENTATION

WILL BE HELD BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT BEGINS.

10:00-10:45am- AWARDS PRESENTATION.

                         10:45- 11:00- Opening Ceremonies, VIP Officials Introduction 

                                                Registration Ends. 

                         11:00- 11:15 Officials, Coaches and Volunteers rules meeting.

                         11:15am- Competition Begins  for all ages and rank.   

                                             

                    TOURNAMENT WILL RUN STRAIGHT THROUGH.

TOURNAMENT FEATURES

■60+ DIVISIONS. All youth competitors receive a medal.
■FIRST TIMERS division for children 8 & under at a discounted rate.
■2012 GKL STATE CHAMPION POINTS AWARDED FOR 1-4TH PLACE. Every participant receives 1 point.
■GKL “DOJO TEAM OF THE YEAR” COMPETITION BEGINS


ALL OFFICIALS, REFEREES AND COACHES MUST WEAR APPROVED GKL/AAU ATTIRE TO OFFICIATE.*

(*VIP Officials have the option of dress attire).

Directions

NORTH- Take I-85 North to Exit #105. Follow  2 miles to Duluth Hwy 120 West. Go under the bridge.  Go for approximately 3.5 miles.  Turn right at the light on Buford Hwy 23.  Turn left at the  next light, Brock Rd.  Go across railroad track and thru 4-way stop.  Turn left at the softball  field.  Follow signs to the parking area behind the  big gym.  We are in the big gym this year.  EXIT #105 TO DULUTH HWY. 120 IS A NEW  INTERCHANGE SO BE SURE AND FOLLOW THE SIGNS.

SOUTH-  Take I-85 South to Exit #109, Old Peachtree Rd.  Turn right.  Go approximately 4 miles.  Turn left at the  light at Buford Hwy 23.  Turn right at the next light, Brock Rd.  Go across the railroad track and thru the 4-way stop.  Turn left at the softball field.  Follow signs to the parking area behind the  new gym.  We are in the big gym this year.
